This aluminum indexing tool identifies electrode position on installed spark plugs to optimize ignition direction toward exhaust valves for maximum combustion efficiency and fuel burn. Proper electrode indexing prevents spark blow-out on turbocharged and supercharged applications while improving overall engine performance. Simply use this tool to determine the correct indexing shim thickness needed for your specific spark plug orientation. Compatible with all Defender and Maverick submodels. Indexing shims sold separately.
